X-Men TV Show?

There’s been a knock-off (“Mutant X”), as well as countless animated series based on the property, is it really that far-fetched to believe Marvel are toying with the idea of bringing the X-Men to TV?

Not at all.

Especially considering they’ve gotten deep into the televisual offerings of late, too – with “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” and “Agent Carter” part of ABC’s prime-time line-up, and this whole Netflix deal (the “Daredevil” series is their first cab off the rank). DC also have several comic-book based superhero series on the air, so Marvel are going to want to catch up to them… and then stay one step ahead (as they usually do).

Bleeding Cool, the chaps that first reported on the “Supergirl” TV series (a rumour that quickly turned fact), say Fox are in “deep development” on a TV series based on the “X-Men” property. And why not? It makes perfect sense. Doesn’t mean Hugh Jackman or Jennifer Lawrence will be part of it (but Julie Gonzalo needs a job now. Someone gets some tights on that woman!), but there’s so many more stories to tell in the “X”-verse besides ones of the hairy-clawed, blue-skinned variety.
