Ah, hon, ya! The Coen’s doing a Fargo TV series!

Like sweaty flesh aching for warmth, “Fargo” and FX seem like a perfect match.

The Coen’s and Noah Crawley (“My Generation”) have teamed to bring the cult classic, starring Frances McDormand as a kanuck trooper on a murder case, to Television, says THR.

Needless to say, the high-caliber cast of the 1996 gem – which, aside from McDormand, featured Steve Buscemi, William H.Macy and Peter Stormare – won’t be back for the hour-long TV series spin-off, but it’ll obviously feature the same cool band of characters – or an amalgamation of them in the least.

With “The Good Shepherd”, “A Knight’s Tale” and “Psycho” all announced in recent weeks to get the film-to-TV adaptation, it’d seem Hollywood’s got a woody for remaking classics on a smaller screen right now. Bring on “Shawshank” the series!
