Victoria Who? Lefevre lines up two blockbusters for 2013

Like a talking tennis ball would say, we all bounce back sooner-or-later.

Rachelle Lefevre was unfairly kicked to the curb by the producers of the “Twilight” series a couple of years back, who decided to recast her role of Victoria the vampress in the series’ third instalment. But seems having Ritchie Cunningham’s kid take your job hasn’t hurt the beautiful redhead too much.

The Canadian actress, whose big claim to fame before “Twilight” was as one of the plucky “What About Brian?” ensemble, has joined the cast of two rather big movies : Roland Emmerich’s “White House Down” starring Channing Tatum, and “Homefront”, the Jason Statham-actioner written by Sylvester Stallone.

The Hollywood Reporter has the goss on the two gigs :

In Down, about a paramilitary takeover of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Lefevre will play the ex-wife of Tatum, a Secret Service agent forced to save the White House.

The movie is shooting in Montreal with Roland Emmerich in the director’s chair.

In Homefront, about an ex-DEA agent (Statham) fighting a local drug lord in a small town, Lefevre will play a school psychologist who tries to warn the family about the dangers of living there.

Gary Fleder is directing the movie, which begins shooting Oct. 1 in New Orleans.

Nice to see this foxy femme making a nice post-“Twilight” firing comeback!
