Bit of a casting change over on Fox drama pilot “Pitch”.
Elisabeth Shue is out, Ali Larter is in.
That’s according to Deadline who says the “Adventures in Babysitting” alum wanted out after a table read.
“The decision came after the pilot’s table read and followed creative changes made to the Amelia character over the past week. Upon seeing the character’s evolution, with the final version of Amelia different from the woman she signed on to play, I hear Shue asked out, and she and the producers parted ways amicably.”
The ‘Amelia’ they refer to is a sports agent who shields and manages the first female pitcher in the major leagues.
Former “Heroes” star Larter joins Kylie Bunbury and Mark-Paul Gosselaar in the Dan Fogelman and Rick Singer penned offering.
