Allison Williams joins A Series of Unfortunate Events for Netflix

The second season of Netflix series “A Series of Unfortunate Events” has added “Girls” star Allison Williams, and she also will be appearing on season 3. Williams recently starred in the Oscar-winning film “Get Out”.

The role she will be playing is being kept under wraps at this stage, but she joins a fairly meaty cast including Neil Patrick Harris, Malina Weissman, Louis Hynes, Presley Smith, Joan Cusack, Will Arnett, Cobie Smulders, Alfre Woodard, Catherine O’Hara, Nathan Fillion, Patrick Warburton, and many more.

Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (a.k.a. Daniel Handler), the series follows the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf (Harris) will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance.

Season 1 of the series focused on 4 of the 13 novels in the book series, and Handler helped create the Netflix series. Thanks to Variety.
