Bachelor Party thrown at ABC

Captain Original must be holidaying back on his home planet this month.

Hot on the heels of newly-announced TV series based on the films “Big”, “The Money Pit”, “Uncle Buck”, “Scream”, “Friday the 13th”, “Minority Report”, “Rush Hour” and “In Good Company”, comes word that (seems execs are convinced Tom Hanks’ movies would make for good TV shows) ’80s comedy “Bachelor Party” is headed for the small screen. ABC has committed to doing a pilot for the small screen jaunt.

The film launched Tom Hanks and Tawny Kitaen to fame.

The TV series, says Deadline, ”examines relationships and the institution of marriage through the lens of three couples: one about to get married, another recently divorced and a third just falling in love. They experience the trial by fire that is the modern day, co-ed Bachelor/Bachelorette extravaganza. The series is envisioned as an anthologyImage (1) philbin__120922003905.png for post 665143, with each season focusing on a different wedding party. ”

Getting ahead of themselves aren’t they – “each season”!? How many of ’em do they think “Bachelor Party : The TV show” lends itself to?
