Critters and Static get Blue Ribbon treatment

Warner Bros are furthering their digital-only entertainment output, announcing they’re doing a “Critters” reboot and live-action take on DC’s “Static” as part of their new online offshoot Blue Ribbon Content.

Per THR, Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath (”Teen Titans Go!”) are behind the “Critters” webseries; like the films, it’ll fix on blue, furry aliens who invade Earth.

“Django Unchained” producer Reginald Hudlin is behind the “Static Shock”, an adaptation of the ”Static” comic featuring the African-American super hero Static, aka Virgil Ovid Hawkins.

Aside from those, Avika Goldmsan (“The Da Vinci Code”) has a horror/thriller series called “Ouroboros” set up with Blue Ribbon, and there’s a girl scouts comedy called “Ginger Snaps” (not to be confused with the film franchise of the same name) also in the works.
