Beetlejuice 2 is closer than ever!

Umpteen years after the possibility was first mooted, Tim Burton and Michael Keaton finally finally be ready to return to the afterlife.

Burton, out doing press for his award-worthy “Big Eyes”, says the “Beetlejuice” sequel is getting nearer (I can imagine so, especially now that Michael Keaton’s name means ‘bucks’ again, and Burton’s latest film has a good shot at being nominated for some actual bonafide Awards).

Speaking to Coming Soon, the frizzy-haired filmmaker said :

“It’s a character that I love and I miss and I miss actually working with Michael. There’s only one Betelgeuse. We’re working on a script and I think it’s probably closer than ever and I’d love to work with him again.”

Winona Ryder just got her agent on the line.
