Casting: Butler, Keough, Bright, Thwaites

Gerard Butler is joining Peter Mullan and Joe Alwyn in director Kristoffer Nyholm’s thriller “Keepers”.

The film is described as a dark psycho-creeper about trio of lighthouse keepers pitted against each other on a remote island off the coast of Scotland.

“Keeper” is set for an early 2017 shoot in the UK.

 

 

Riley Keough (“The Girlfriend Experience”, “Mad Max: Fury Road”) is in final negotiations to play the female lead opposite Andrew Garfield in “Under the Silver Lake”, reports Variety.

David Robert Mitchell is writing and directing the crime noir film which is set in Los Angeles. No other plot details are available.

Production is likely to start early next year.

 

 

Dawn Olivieri and Kenneth Choi are set to join Will Smith, Joel Edgerton, and Noomi Rapace in Netflix’s action movie “Bright”.

David Ayer is directing from a script by Max Landis.

Set in a world where humans live among orcs and fairies, the film follows a human (Smith) and an orc (Edgerton) who must outrun cops, criminals, and various magical creatures in order to protect a magic wand.

 

 

Brenton Thwaites will star in independent action thriller “Entry Level”, from director Franck Khalfoun.

Thwaites will play Marcus Delany, a young man who mysteriously awakens in a high-security office building. He’s then forced by an unknown stranger to complete a strictly timed series of dangerous tasks — which implicate him in a deadly crime with global consequences.

Benjamin Hurley penned the script.
