David Arquette’s comeback!?… in Kurt Russell western!

It had to happen sometime, right!?

The “Scream” alum has been tapped for a plum role in Kurt Russell western “Bone Tomahawk”, says Deadline.

Arquette is one of several new additions to the film, the brutal tale of four men attempting to rescue captives from a band of cannibals who live on the edge of civilization.

Also enlisting are Lili Simmons (“Banshee”), Sid Haig (“The Devil’s Rejects”), Kathryn Morris (TV’s “Cold Case”), and Evan Jonigkeit (TV’s “Girls”).

Simmons (True Detective) will play Samantha O’Dwyer, the de facto town doctor and dedicated wife Wilson’s character. Arquette (the Scream films) and Haig (The Devil’s Rejects) play a couple of filthy brigands whose actions set off a string of violent repercussions. Morris (Cold Case) will play the wife of Russell’s Sheriff Hunt, and Jonigkeit (Girls) will play a young deputy sheriff.

Arquette’s other credits include “Never Been Kissed”, “Eight Legged Freaks”, “The Grey Zone”, and “The Tripper” – which he also directed.
