Don Quixote Poster! Casting news!

Direct from Cannes, both casting news and a new poster for Terry Gilliam’s “it isn’t bloody cursed I tell ya!” passion project “The Man Who Killed Don Quixote”.

Gilliam, who has tried a couple of times to get the feature off the ground (Johnny Depp was attached to the 2000 version), has signed Adam Driver and Michael Palin to headline this latest incarnation. Per THR, Olga Kurylenko (“Oblivion”) has already hopped aboard.

“Star Wars” alum Driver plays the advertising executive who Palin’s Don Quixote believes is Sancho Panza, the central character from Miguel de Cervantes’ 1605 novel.

“It’s a funny thing. Along the way there have been so many versions of this story in my mind, and it changes with each cast,” Gilliam said. “Finally we have the perfect cast. Driver is the guy I’ve been looking for all these years. Thank God for Star Wars, Adam Driver is bankable!”
