Exclusive : Rock of Ages back before the cameras next week

It’s a “Rock of Ages” encore.

Seems filming isn’t as complete as we were led to believe on the Adam Shankman directed transfer of the stage offering, with booking in some reshoots and additional filming for the movie. The new and revised sequences will shoot next week in Los Angeles.

While it’s not known which of the film’s key castmembers – Tom Cruise, Julianne Hough, Alec Baldwin, Russell Brand, etc – will be required back for the additional photography, we’ve been given the heads up (by an actor auditioning) that some new characters have been written into the film. These parts are being cast as we speak.

“Rock of Ages” will now feature the out-of-control hairdo’s and tight jeans of the following new characters :

MALE ROCKER
A Caucasian male, 20s Rocker Type from the 1980s to be part of a couple, no facial hair or willing to shave

SOUVENIR STORE MANAGER
Caucasian male, Mid 20s, natural sleeze, mullet is a plus

BARBER
Caucasian male, 40 to 45 yrs old, Normal person with big, bad hair from the 1980s, Someone who has Barbering skills is a huge plus

POPCORN GUY
Caucasian 45 to 55 years old, heavy set

PRISONER
A criminal, a Rapist, 20s to 40s, who will need to lip sync to the song Sister Christian

WINDBREAKER LAWMAN
A Caucasian male, Law Enforcement Type, short hair, late 20s to early 40s, will have to lip sync to Sister Christian

ROCKER CHICK
Caucasian, nice looking, early 20s

SLUTTY GIRL
18 to 26 years old Caucasian, Slutty look, with Fishnets/ Bustier, Bra size C and above, and huge hair, if you can dance that is a plus

POPCORN WOMAN
Caucasian 43 years to 55 yrs old, on the heavy side to play a tourist

FERRARI WOMAN
Caucasian, Blond hair, 60 or older with huge breasts, think Angelyne from the billboards in Hollywood in the pink corvette except much older, and if you can drive a stick-shirt Ferrari this is a huge plus.

Obviously these aren’t main characters but still, nice to hear they’re still tinkering and toying with the film to make it as splendid and rockin’ an experience as possible.
