Ferris Bueller’s Cameron meets The Exorcist!

Iconic actor Alan Ruck, best known for his roles in the films “Ferris Buellers Day Off” and “Young Guns II” as well as the TV hit “Spin City”, has joined the cast of “The Exorcist”, the Fox pilot based on the classic horror story from William Blatty.

Ruck joins fellow ’80s legend Geena Davis in the Rupert Wyatt directed pilot.

According to Deadline, “Ruck plays Henry, the Rance family’s patriarch. Once a successful civil engineer, Henry suffered a traumatic accident that left him permanently impaired. Now he finds himself a prisoner inside his own body, frustrated by his lack of progress and his inability to help his family in their time of need. Despite all this, he remains a warm, loving presence, and someone who will go to any lengths to protect the ones he loves.”

Alfonso Herrera, Ben Daniels, Brianne Howey, Hannah Kasulka and Kurt Egyiawan also star in the series.
