Fifty Shades of Grey 2 fiscally-friendly to it’s stars

Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan look to snare around seven-figure raises for the “50 Shades” sequel.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the duo – who received about $250,000 each to star in the Mommy Porn Multiplexer – are negotiating for big salary bumps on “Fifty Shades Darker” and “Fifty Shades Freed”.

The trade says the actors will likely take their cue from Jennifer Lawrence, who got a substantial raise on each “Hunger Games” film after the original hit.

“It was a very basic franchise starter deal,” says an insider of the terms of Johnson’s and Dornan’s contracts. “Look at Twilight and Hunger Games, and that’s where it is heading.”

“Fifty Shades” has snared $528 million worldwide to date, but experienced a steep 70 percent drop-off between its Valentine’s Day weekend opening and its second frame.

With both director (Sam Taylor-Johnson) and writer (Kelly Marcel) not expected to return, the last thing the studio obviously wants to have to do is recast the leads – so they’ll likely give in to their demands.
