A bit more on that Tron 3 rumour

So a couple of reputable webbly shingles reported yesterday that the film we never thought we’d see, “Tron 3”, might be inching closer to production. Word had it that Joseph Kosinski, director of the meekly-successful “Tron Legacy”, would be back at the helm of a second sequel to the ’80s techie-hit, with production said to begin in the last quarter in Vancouver. Garrett Hedlund, who played Sam Flynn (son of the Jeff Bridges character) in “Legacy”, would reportedly be back. No word on ‘The Dude’.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed those reports, but only as far as Kosinski being signed to direct the film. At this stage, there’s no official greenlight on “Tron 3”.

So there you have it, it looks like it could be happening.. but it still might not.
