“Sexy Beast” director Jonathan Glazer is set to direct a Holocaust drama, shooting in Poland in 2020. The film is rumored to be based on acclaimed British author Martin Amis’s novel ”The Zone Of Interest”, set in Auschwitz. The well-received 2014 novel tells the story of a Nazi officer who has become enamored with the camp commandant’s wife. The story is conveyed by three narrators: Angelus Thomsen, the officer; Paul Doll, the commandant; and Szmul Zacharias, a Jewish Sonderkommando. [More…]

“Star Wars” alum Adam Driver is set to join Matt Damon in Ridley Scott’s “The Last Duel”. Based on a novel by Eric Jager, pic follows story of two best friends, the Norman knight Jean de Carrouges and the squire Jacques Le Gris. One goes to war and returns to accuse Le Gris of raping his wife Margerite de Carrouges. No one will believe the woman, and the soldier appeals to the king of France to undo a decision handed down by Count Pierre d’Anencon, which favored Le Gris.[More…]

Vanessa Kirby (“Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw”) and Shia LaBeouf (”The Peanut Butter Falcon”) have signed for ”Pieces Of A Woman”, an indie drama from director Kornél Mundruczó. Pic tells of a grieving woman who, when a home birth goes tragically awry, is thrust into an emotional inner journey by trying to come to terms with her loss while also dealing with the ramifications in her interpersonal relationships with her husband and estranged mother.
