First posters for Zac Efron’s The Paperboy; Billy Bob Thornton’s The Baytown Disco

The marketing campaigns for 2012 films looks like it’s getting into full swing, now that all those Boxing Day films have been released – so expect a lot more from where these are coming from soon!

Here’s the poster for “The Paperboy”. The film is about the brother of an investigative reporter at the Miami Times (Zac Efron to Matthew McConaughey) who tries to help him free a man on death row, who may have been innocent (John Cusack). Then things go a bit sour when Efron falls in love with a lady who Cusack’s character’s been writing to from inside the prison – that’s where Nicole Kidman comes in.

It’s directed by Lee Daniels, who directed “Precious” – and it’s based on the 1995 novel by Pete Dexter. What do you think of the retro look?

And thanks to our friends over at ComingSoon we’ve also got our eyes on the new poster for their action comedy “The Bayside Disco”. It stars Billy Bob Thornton and Eva Longoria and is about “crooked cops, relentless Feds, mad mobsters, road pirates, tomahawk-wielding bikers, tricky femme fatales and an unforgettable cast of characters as colorful as they are lethal when they finally try to do a single good deed.” That’s straight off the official synopsis.

What do you make of that one too?

Both these films are expected to be released sometime in 2012.
