FOX’s Wayward Pines won’t be returning for a third season.

Though there was scuttlebutt during the TCA’s that the net might renew the M.Night Shyamalan-produced serial for a third go-round, but the numbers it seems just weren’t solid enough to warrant a renewal.

Starring Matt Dillon and Terrence Howard, among others, the series ran 18 months – about 9 more than it deserved (after the lacklustre second season).
