Gossip Girl is coming back!

Eight years after the original website went dark, a new generation of New York private school teens are introduced to the social surveillance of Gossip Girl.

WarnerMedia’s proposed reboot of the popular teen drama will reportedly address just how much social media – and the landscape of New York itself – has changed in the intervening years.

To air on HBO Max, “Gossip Girl” has been commissioned straight-to-series for a 10-episode order. Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage of Fake Empire and Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo of Alloy Entertainment will produce the redo, which like the original Blake Lively-starring series is based on the book series of the same name.
