Hardwicke doing Werewolves

Yo! Yet another werewolf movie is headed to screens…. And ironically enough (“Twilight” fans will understand the connection I’m making here), it’s to be directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Can’t let David Slade be the only one with a ‘Wolf Pack’, hey Cat!?).

Hardwicke (“Twilight”, the upcoming “21 Jump Street”) is signing on to Appian Way’s “The Girl With the Red Riding Hood, says Variety.” The ‘Teen Wolf’ tale, written by David Johnson, is a gothic retelling of the Little Red Riding Hood story, with a teenage love triangle at its center.

“Red” is set up at Warner Bros.

Other Werewolf projects on the way include the long-awaited “The Wolfman” starring Benicio Del Toro, a remake of “An American Werewolf in London”, Tony Quinn’s ”The Lycanthrope”, the Ellen Page-starring “Jack and Diane” (this one should be good!), “Death Walks the Streets” starring ‘Angel’ alum Christian Kane, “First Howl” starring Eric Stoltz and C.Thomas Howell (never heard of it – Ed), and the oft-rumoured “Teen Wolf” remake.
