David Harbour (“Hellboy”, “Stranger Things”) and Rachel Weisz (“The Favorite”, “The Mummy”) are circling Marvel’s superhero standalone “Black Widow”.
Cate Shortland directs a script by Jac Schaeffer that fixes on Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), a spy and assassin who grew up being trained by the KGB before breaking from its grasp and becoming an agent of SHIELD and Avenger.
Information on Harbour and Weisz’s characters have not been revealed.
Florence Pugh (“Fighting with My Family”) is also onboard the film, which kicks off its shoot in London in June.
