West Hollywood Resnorter : Chuck Lorre’s Lowe Blow

The dudes at What’s Playing had mentioned the possibility of Rob ‘Has a throb’ Lowe taking over from the machete-wielding patient-to-be on “Two and-a-half Men” a couple of days ago (they’d also heard that everyone from Martin Sheen to Heather Locklear had been discussed) but seriously, I didn’t think much of it – too risky to go on without the ‘star’ and all. Still, I remember smiling as I read Rob’s name….straight away, the suggestion seemed as perfect as Mandy Moore’s bust. Rob, like Sheen, has some skeletons in his closet (probably a nice VHS collection too), he’s also known to have been a bit of a party pooch back in his day, but mostly, he’s a talented and – “Wayne’s World” fans back me up here! – funny actor. And anyone that can get a couple of young girlies in the sack, let alone them letting him film them, after doing a piece of crap like “If the Shoe Fits” deserves our respect. No, in all brow-down seriousness, this is the man to fill Charlie Sheen’s man-whore trousers on that show.

TMZ has just confirmed the rumors, noting that although no deal is done the former “West Wing” star is indeed chatting to “Two and-a-half Men” creator Chuck Lorre about joining the show. Bitch for Rob though is that he’s friends with the Sheen family (he made “The Outsiders” and “St Elmo’s Fire” with Emilio Estevez, was on “The West Wing” with Martin, and use to party with Charlie), and who knows how they’ll react to him helping save a show Charlie wants to see die, but also, he’s been doing that fucking fab sitcom “Parks and Recreation” of late so Lorre’s going to have go down on someone (Nah, I doubt it’d be Amy) over there or, in the least, drop a suitcase full of cash on their doorstep.

I think this might just come off though and out of all the suggestions that have been banded about, especially the one where Heather Locklear would play a female version of Sheen’s character, in terms of how they’ll keep the show on air I can’t think of a better man for the job.

Oh, by the way, I’ve never even seen the flipping show. But maybe I will, if ‘Youngblood’ jumps aboard.

So what do you say? Who wants to see Rob Lowe join the show? Let’s talk below!
