Horror vet spearheads Hellraiser series

Producer Roy Lee, currently immersed in bringing several other classics ips to the small screen, including “The Departed” and “The Stand”, has set his sights on “Hellraiser”.

Lee, who successfully translated “The Exorcist” for TV a couple of years back, has teamed with Dan Farah (“Ready Player One”) to bring Clive Barker’s classic horror yarn to the box.

With rights holders Lawrence Kuppin, David Salzman and Eric Gardner, Lee and Farah will craft a series inspired by both the rich mythology of the “Hellraiser” characters from the film series and original novella ‘The Hellbound Heart’.

Separately, a film reboot of “Hellraiser” inches forward. David S.Goyer is scripting it.
