Hoult : Until Mad Max gets here, I’m doing Jack

Nicholas Hoult, the young “Skins” actor who last year signed for a starring role in George Miller’s frustratingly-tardy “Mad Max Fury Road”, has signed to star in Bryan Singer’s “Jack the Giant Killer”.

Like his fellow “Fury Road” co-stars Charlize Theron, Tom Hardy and Riley Keough, Hoult’s not going to sit around twiddling his thumbs, waiting for “Fury Road” to get going (it’s supposed to get back on track next year – so they say). Even actors gotta eat (as those photos of Megan Fox remind us).

In “Jack the Giant Killer”, Deadline says Hoult will play a farmer who leads to a party into the giant’s kingdom to rescue a princess. Bill Nighy, Stanley Tucci and John Kassir are also onboard.

Hoult will next be seen in “X-Men : First Class” – which, funnily enough (though I doubt coincidentally), is produced by “Jack” helmer Bryan Singer.
