We blame this next story on the rain…

The long-gestating ‘Milli Vanilli’ biopic has a new captain says Deadline : Florian Gallenberger (either him or someone claiming to be him).

The film was originally set up at Universal but “Indy” producers Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall and “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystall Skull” co-writer Jeff Nathanson have now denied the company the pleasure of hearing ‘Blame it on the Rain’ coming out of Studio 16 day-in day-out (Apparently Universal are only interested in inspirational true stories… like that one about the fish-man? What was it called? Oh, yeah, “Waterworld”).

The film, for those not alive in the ’80s, tells the story of two rather attractive lads who posed as singers. It would later come out that it wasn’t actually Rob and Fab’s (their real names) voices you were hearing on the cassette.

Cruise and Travolta now have two dinner conversation topics…
