J.K. Rowling’s The Casual Vacancy airs this April

J.K. Rowling’s “The Casual Vacancy” is coming to HBO this April.

The HBO Miniseries/BBC adaptation of Rowling’s bestseller will air across two nights, with parts one and two scheduled to debut back-to-back Wednesday, April 29 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), and part three airing the next night, Thursday, April 30 (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET/PT).

The story is set in a seemingly idyllic English village called Pagford, but behind the pretty façade is a town at war: rich vs. poor, teenagers vs. parents, wives vs. husbands, teachers vs. pupils.

Michael Gambon, Keeley Hawes, Rory Kinnear, Monica Dolan  and Julia McKenzie and Abigail Lawrie star in the show from director Jonny Campbell.

Sarah Phelps penned the script.
