John Krasinski and Emily Blunt talk Fantastic Four fan casting

Reporters had the chance this week to ask the actors long favoured to play Reed and Sue Richards in Marvel’s inevitable “Fantastic Four” reboot, John Krasinski and Emily Blunt, whether they’d be interested in such a project.

Krasinski, back directing wife Blunt in “The Quiet Place Part II”, says while he’s definitely keen on getting involved in a Marvel project he hasn’t spoken to anyone associated with “Fantastic Four” – but wants to!

“I would love to do it”, the actor turned filmmaker tells ComicBook.com. “I think to be a part of the Marvel world would be amazing anyway, and the fact that people would even consider me for that level of a part would be amazing. I genuinely have had no conversations or don’t know anything that’s happening with that. I’m awaiting Kevin’s announcements of what the hell’s happening with that as much as you are.”

Blunt gave a less enthusiastic but diplomatic response.

“Well I don’t know, you’re gonna have to speak to Feige about it, right?”

“No, fan casting is obviously so flattering and lovely, but I don’t see it as anything other than hypothetical until they cast someone else. I don’t know.”
