Jonah Hex headed to the The CW!

Jonah Hex, the disfigured cowboy bounty hunter, is headed to TV.

Years after the failure of a “Jonah Hex” movie (starring Josh Brolin in the title role), DC has opted to lend the character to The CW for their upcoming “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” series. The character will first appear in the eleventh episode of the series, a spin-off of current superhero hits “The Flash” and “Arrow”.

Executive producer Marc Guggenheim tells EW: “Ever since we decided that Legends would involve time travel, we were eager to do a story set in the Old West. But if you’re going to do a story set in the DC Universe version of the Old West, you simply must include Jonah Hex in it. We’re thrilled about bringing another well known, beloved DC character to television.”

“DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” premieres January 21.
