Twilight alum Kellan Lutz has tweeted (for some reason!? You’d think that would hurt his chances, right?) that he’s in the running to play Prince Adam – no, not he of Netflix royalty, but of He-Man fame.
The muscular Lutz, whose Legend of Hercules was no doubt used to get him an audition, confirmed a meeting with McG (“Terminator Salvation”) , who is the latest filmmaker attached to direct the long-gestating take on the ‘80s cartoon “Master of the Universe”, and Mary Viola, the head of McG’s prod co.
Hey @HeManTheMovie and all MOTU fans,
Had an amazing meeting with @McGsWonderland and @ItsMaryViola talking MOTU!
ITS IN GREAT HANDS! ?⚔

None of this means that Lutz has got the role, but the fact that he’s openly tweeting about his meeting suggests he’s been told he’s ‘in with a good shot, kid. *wink*’.
Lutz, seemingly a big of the Battlecat-riding ‘He-Man’ by the looks of all those ‘shares’ and ‘retweets’ regarding anything and everything “He-Man” on his Twitter page, is one of the first actors to be associated to McG’s incarnation of the movie. Long before that, when John Woo was attached – a long line of prospects were said to be up for the role, including Chris Hemsworth and Triple H.
