Mahershala Ali (“The Hunger Games: Mockingjay”) will join Marvel’s upcoming Netflix series “Luke Cage”.
Ali will play Cornell “Cottonmouth” Stokes, a Harlem nightclub owner who becomes an unexpected foe of Luke Cage (Mike Colter) when Stokes’ criminal activities threaten Luke’s world.
Theo Rossi, Rosario Dawson and Simone Missick have also recently been added to the cast of the third show in Marvel’s four-series package with Netflix.
Cheo Hodari Coker is exec producer and showrunner. Marvel Television produces in association with ABC Studios for Netflix.
“Marvel’s Luke Cage” will premiere in 2016 on Netflix.
