Disney will release drama “The Light Between Oceans”, starring Michael Fassbender, Alicia Vikander and Rachel Weisz, in the US on September 2.
Based on M.L. Stedman’s 2012 novel, the story centres on an Australian soldier who returns home after fighting in World War I. He moves to an isolated lighthouse on the coast of Western Australia with his wife where they informally adopt a baby girl who has washed up in a lifeboat.
Derek Cianfrance directed the film which was shot in Australia. David Heyman and Jeffrey Clifford are producing.
