Following their critically and commercially successful collaboration on “House of Cards”, David Fincher and Netflix are linking hands on a second project.
The “Zodiac” helmer is bringing Mark Olshanker’s 1996 book “Mind Hunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit,” to the box. Titled “Mindhunters”, it’ll chronicle Olshanker’s knack for getting inside the head of a criminal and bringing down some of the newspaper’s biggest headline crooks.
“Mindhunters” was originally set up with HBO, with Charlize Theron onboard the producing committee; the “Mad Max Fury Road” actress remains onboard, executive producing alongside Fincher. Joe Penhall, writer of John Hillcoat’s post-apocalyptic nugget “The Road”, is on script duty.
