New Line is developing a film reboot of “Mortal Kombat” and is in talks with Simon McQuoid to direct.
The latest draft of the script was penned by Greg Russo and is based on the 90’s arcade game which spawned a number of pop culture properties including the best-selling video game and some movies.
Producers are James Wan, Michael Clear of Atomic Monster, and Todd Garner and Jeremy Stein of Broken Road. Lawrence Kasanoff is executive producing. Greg Russo penned the most recent draft.
