New DC brass pass on Wonder Woman 3 treatment

The sequel was greenlit in the wake of the theatrical day-and-date flop that was Wonder Woman 1984

Suggesting new heads of DC, James Gunn and Peter Safran are indeed starting afresh over there, essentially cleaning house when it comes to current superhero franchises, Deadline‘s reporting they’ve canned Patty Jenkins’ treatment of Wonder Woman 3.

Jenkins was expected to hand in a screenplay for the third instalment in the Gal Gadot-starring superhero franchise but the new bosses weren’t happy with the direction of the treatment so put the kibosh on it.

One source close to the situation told the trade that Jenkins could very well hand in another take on the superhero, but that’s not evident that will happen.
