A few days ago, actress Leslie Jones let rip on Twitter about her disappointment in Sony opting to bring back the original Ghostbusters line-up for a new film as opposed to the female cast of her 2016 reboot.
Director Paul Feig has now commented on the studio’s decision to tap Jason Reitman to direct a new sequel to 1984’s ”Ghostbusters”, instead of his film, and while as equally dissapointed as Jones, says so a little more diplomatically.
An absolute honest to God never ending supply of bullshit and hate from these trolls. Leslie spoke her truth and I support her. I am very open to Jason’s new version of GB but am also sad that our 2016 team may not get to bust again. We all are. We’re forever proud of our movie. https://t.co/o1Ohz7rCVp

The new ”Ghostbusters”, which is rumored to be bringing back surviving cast of the 1984 and 1989 films, is due in 2020.
