Quentin Tarantino’s next film called….

Any Tarantino fan knows that the man likes to do things, well, differently – or his way. In addition to taking a five-or-six year break between most of his projects, the “Kill Bill” and “Pulp Fiction” director likes to hand-write the title page of his scripts (anyone with a copy of the “Inglourious Basterds” script can attest to that), which makes this little nugget easy to believe (at the same time,  easy prank too). A Twitter user has revealed an image of what’s apparently the front cover of QT’s next script. We know that he’s been working on a spaghetti western, that he’s a huge fan of such films, and that he has Franco Nero lined up for a role… so this does make sense :

Most of you will recall that Nero, who has said in the past that he and Tarantino are working on a Spaghetti Western together, starred in a little film in the ’60s called “Django” – another positive weight to slap on the real-or-fake scales.

Previously…

Yesterday it was revealed that Quentin Tarantino’s next film would be a spaghetti western with a cast that may include Christoph Waltz, Treat Williams, Franco Nero and Keith Carradine. There were quite a few details revealed about the project though none of them pertained to the plot.

An old friend from the world of radio just dropped me a line to say he ‘may’ have the plot of the film.

Here’s ‘Gordon’ :

After reading your story in regard to Tarantino taking on a western as his next project – I don’t know if this is any good to you…
Back in early 2008 Quentin paid a visit to Dublin to promote Death Proof and I interviewed him for my radio show. We got talking after the interview about our love of Jack Cardiff films; I gave him a DVD of The Freakmaker, which lead to us chatting about some upcoming projects like how he was about to start work on his ode to Enzo Castellari with Inglorious Basterds. Anyway, I said to him with his great love for Italian cinema and how he’s nearly tackled every genre that it would be great to see him take on a western…
He told me he had a very rough idea in place. The story in question was about a black slave who escapes from his evil master and is taken in by these bounty hunters who train him to become one of them. The black slave has a great gift and ends up becoming the ultimate badass bounty hunter!!! He goes on to enact his revenge on his once master…
That was what was perculating back in 2008 – I’m sure it has changed big time since then, but that was what he said to me in Dublin…

Interesting! I’m sure Ive heard this before but terrifically-timed reminder.
