THR says Elizabeth Banks is a lock as Effie Trinket, while Woody Harrelson (“Cheers”), singer Lenny Kravitz and Stanley Tucci (“The Devil Wears Prada”) are being courted for parts in “The Hunger Games“. Harrelson is rumoured to be playing Seneca Crane, the designer of the titular game. (More…)

Man on a Ledge“, a Heist thriller starring Sam Worthington, Elizabeth Banks and Jamie Bell, is confirmed for a January 13, 2012 release; New Line’s “Final Destination 5” has been slotted in for August 12; “Apollo 18“, previously set for release next January, is now set to go wide August 26.

“Shameless” star Jane Levy is in talks to star in “Fun Size“, a teen comedy from “Chuck” creator Josh Schwartz. The film stars Victoria Justice as “a sarcastic teen who takes her little brother-trick-or-treating only to lose him along the way”. Levy would play Justice’s best friend. (More…)

”Complacent” duo writer/director Steven R.Monroe and actress Cerina Vincent will reunite for ”Hole in the Desert”, a revenge/action/thriller focusing on Reagan Tyler, a man who is troubled by visions and premonitions that ultimately lead him to a small desert town. It’s there that Reagan meets the beautiful and mysterious Monika, a young woman who turns out to have been killed the night before he even met her. Reagan is then forced to put the puzzle together of what happened, how she is still present, and help Monika with her revenge on the killers of her younger sister.
