Ryan Gosling will star in Guillermo del Toro’s “Haunted Mansion”, says The Wrap.
The film, which has been in development for about 5 years, is based on the Disney attraction.
Gosling and del Toro have been chummy of late; the “Hellboy” director moderated a panel for Gosling’s film “Lost River” at SXSW, and on the weekend they were reportedly spotted at Disneyland together, partaking in many of the rides including the Haunted Mansion.
Like the Eddie Murphy-starring “Haunted Mansion”, Del Toro’s film will be a supernatural family film. D.V. DeVincentis is writing the screenplay.
Gosling, whose directorial debut “Lost River” opens on Friday, kicked off his career at Disney – in The Mickey Mouse Club.
