Exclusive : Saint co-stars Kilmer and Shue reunite on Wild Bill Western

Val Kilmer and Elisabeth Shue, last seen snuggling in the vicinity of the Kremlin in “The Saint”, look to reunite on a new western called “The Hard Ride”.

The Thadd Turner written/directed pic, which tells of Wild Bill Hickok’s run-in with gambler Johnny Varnes in Deadwood, begins filming in April in New Mexico.

Unlike their first film, Kilmer and Shue will play adversaries in “Hard Ride”. Kilmer would play Varnes, who allegedly paid off Jack McCall to kill ‘Wild Bill’. Shue would play Agnes Lake, the late wife of Hickok.

Ryan Merriman (“Final Destination 3”), Mark Rolston (“Aliens”), Wes Studi (“Dances with Wolves”) and Christopher Atkins (“Blue Lagoon”) are also onboard.

Interestingly enough, Kilmer recently shot “The First Ride of Wyatt Earp” in which he played another famous outlaw from history books past, Wyatt Earp (and, of course, he played Doc Holiday in “Tombstone”, opposite Kurt Russell’s Earp).
