Sigourney Weaver back as Ellen Ripley!

Reuniting with her co-stars from the original 1979 “Alien” for “Alien : Isolation”

Sigourney Weaver will join “Alien” co-stars in the recording booth to lend their lungs to the new videogame “Alien: Isolation”.

The game centers on the adventures of Ellen Ripley’s daughter, Amanda.

Tom Skerritt, Harry Dean Stanton, Veronica Cartwright and Yaphet Kotto join Weaver in voicing the characters from the 1979 in additional downloadable content for the game that’ll be available to anyone pre-orders “Isolation” before its release date.

“Working with the original cast has been an incredible experience,” said Alistair Hope, Creative Lead on ”Alien: Isolation”. “It was important to us to have the key original cast members reprise their roles in order to perfectly capture the atmosphere of the movie. For some of the original cast, this is their first appearance in an Alien video game. Seeing them reprise those roles after 35 years was an unforgettable experience.”

Those who pre-order the game will get a free upgrade to the Nostromo Edition, which includes the bonus content “Crew Expendable”. Players can choose to play as one of three surviving crewmembers, only moments after Brett’s death at the jaws of the creature. As Ellen Ripley, Dallas or Parker, players can explore the Nostromo from habitation deck down through engineering, coordinating their efforts with Lambert and Ash to lure the Alien into the ship’s airlock.

In addition, consumers who pre-order at select retailers will also receive “Last Survivor” in which players pick up the story as Ripley tries to escape on the Narcissus. On hearing the screams of Lambert and Parker, players must navigate their way back down through the Nostromo in order to activate the self-destruct sequence, before retracing their steps back to the Narcissus shuttle and their escape.

‘’Alien: Isolation’’ is a first-person survival horror game capturing the fear and tension evoked by Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic film. Players find themselves in an atmosphere of constant dread and mortal danger as an unpredictable, ruthless Xenomorph is stalking and killing deep in the shadows. Underpowered and underprepared, you must scavenge resources, improvise solutions and use your wits, not just to succeed in your mission, but to simply stay alive.

“Alien : Isolation” has been crafted by Sega and will be available for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows platforms this October.

Weaver, who played Ripley in four “Alien” films, recently admitted she’s keen on reprising the role in a fifth film.

Clueless cast reunite to celebrate 25th Anniversary!

The cast of ’90s gem “Clueless” reunited at C2E2 at McCormick Place Saturday afternoon to share memories of working on the now 25-year-old comedy classic.

While a couple of cast members were noticeably absent (specifically, Stacey Dash, who played Dionne, and the late, wonderful Brittany Murphy, who left us in 2009), the 2,800 seat hall did get to spend quality time with Alicia Silverstone, Paul Rudd, Breckin Meyer and Donald Faison.

While most of the cast had understandably aged, Rudd seems to be stuck in time.

“I’m 80 years old on the inside.” He pointed to his chest: “In here, pure darkness — and a little moisturizer.”

“They had to knock on Paul’s trailer an hour early because he had to finish sucking the lifeblood out of babies”, said Meyer, who played skateboarder Travis in the film.

While the audience seemed to be gunning for solid word on some sort of sequel, the cast reiterated that the film is  – sadly – going to be rebooted… without them.
