Skarsgard, Soller join Star Wars series

Stellan Skarsgard (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”, “Good Will Hunting”) and Kyle Soller (“Brexit”) will join Diego Luna in Disney Plus’ “Star Wars” spin-off series fixing on Cassian Andor from “Rogue One”.

Per Variety, who have the scoop, both actors are in final negotiations to join the series, which focuses on Rebel agent Andor prior to the events of “Rogue One” in the early days of the Rebellion against the Empire. The show had been described as a “spy thriller” when plans for it were first revealed last year.

Tony Gilroy, who co-wrote “Rogue One,” is set to write the pilot for the series in addition to directing multiple episodes. He will work alongside series showrunner Stephen Schiff.

Alan Tudyk will also reprise his “Rogue One” role of K-S20 for the series.
