Don’t know how I missed this, considering it’s the one element of the production I do give a hootsuite about, but “24” producer/writer David Fury has been hinting at the return of Tony Almeida for the show’s upcoming return.
Fury posted the following Tweet a week or so back, suggesting they’ve roped Carlos Bernard (who after “24” went and did a couple of episodes of TNT’s “Dallas”) to reprise his rogue agent role.
Just had dinner with Carlos Bernard. Read into that what you will.

Now that would be suit. “24” isn’t “24” without Jack Bauer, but Jack Bauer’s also not Jack Bauer without some Tony, Toni, Tone.
There’s been a few other names announced for “24 : Live Another Day” over the past few days too, including Aussie thesp Judy Davis, Gbenga Akinnagbe (”The Good Wife”) and Giles Matthey (“True Blood”). The latter two play CIA employees, while Davis is playing a villain.
The 12 episodes of “24 : Live Another Day” unspool onto set-top boxes next Summer.
