Stallone set for Escape Plan sequel, teases Rambo return

Sylvester Stallone will go it alone -without co-star Arnold Schwarzenegger – in a sequel to 2013 actioner “Escape Plan”.

According to Deadline, Stallone will have a supporting role in the new film. The original film was such a success in China that the new film will have a Chinese component – be it the setting or cast.

Miles Chapman, who penned the original, is back on sequel duty.

Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films will again produce, with shooting beginning in March in Ohio and China.

Meanwhile, Stallone himself has seared the rumours of a “Rambo” reboot by posting a mock poster for a fifth “Rambo” featuring his own image. The image would suggest that Stallone is very much onboard a fifth film in the series, reprising his trademark role.

What this means for the newly-announced reboot is anyone’s guess?
