Stephen Moyer won’t suck in next TV gig

Stephen Moyer, the spruiking lead on the now defunct “True Blood”, is trading in his plastic teeth for a manual-for-mutants.

Anna Paquin’s quilt-sharer is set for a lead role in Marvel’s new “X-Men” pilot.

Directed by “X-Men” movie staple Bryan Singer and written by Matt Nix, the pilot fixes on two lots of parents who go on the run with their mutant kids when the government turns on anyone ‘different’. Moyer, who spent the best part of the last decade, bumping flesh with Sookie Stackhouse, will play the dad, Reed, an “ambitious attorney trying to balance the demands of his job at the DA’s office with his responsibility of the family”.

Blair Redford and Jamie Chung are also onboard the series.
