Jean-Marc Vallee (“Wild”) will direct Amy Adams in the long-gestating Janis Joplin biopic, according to Deadline.
“Get It While You Can”, scripted by Ron and Theresa Terry, is expected to go into production mid-2015.
Craig Borten and Melissa Wallack are finalizing to rewrite the project.
Adams, who recently wrapped “Batman v Superman : Dawn of Justice” and is expected to get an Oscar nom for her work in the upcoming “Big Eyes”, has been attached to the project for several years. She will sing Joplin’s back-catalog in the movie.
