Vanessa Hudgens will headline the NBC and DC Entertainment superhero comedy “Powerless”.
According to Variety, the “Grease : Live” actress has been cast as Emily Locke, an insurance claims adjuster, in the DC Universe series about regular people that work within the realm of superherodom.
Hudgen’s character loves helping people and keeping a low profile but is growing tired of the big-time superheroes ruining her city.
None of the DC superheroes are expected to appear in “Powerless”.
Ben Queen will executive produce the series.
