William H. Macy has joined Mel Gibson on the set of “Blood Father”.
The two actors will star opposite each other in the Jean-Francois Richet directed pic about an ex-con who reunites with his estranged daughter to protect her from drug dealers who are trying to kill her.
Deadline has described the film as “a Taken-style action thriller” with a script penned by “The Town” scribe Peter Craig. Craig also co-wrote the final two upcoming instalments in Lionsgate’s “The Hunger Games” trilogy.
Macy tweeted the news and a pic of himself and Gibson on the set of “Blood Father”.
