The first photo from Warner Bros DC spinoff “Wonder Woman” has hit the web following the massive release of “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” this week.
Gal Gadot stars as Wonder Woman, who first appeared in the “Batman v Superman” movie alongside Ben Affleck (Batman) and Henry Cavill (Superman).
Now she has her own film, due to hit cinemas on June 23, 2017, in which she stars with Connie Nielsen (who plays Queen Hippolyta, Wonder Woman’s mother), Robin Wright (as General Antiope, her aunt) and Lisa Loven Kongsli (as Antiope’s lieutenant, Menalippe, and also Wonder Woman’s aunt).
“She is the only child they raised together,” director Patty Jenkins told Entertainment Weekly of the powerful trio in the image. “And their love for her manifests in a different way for each of them.”
Chris Pine, Danny Huston, David Thewlis and Ewen Bremner co-star in the film which sees a young Princess Diana transform into the titular warrior.
