Shazam! star Zachary Levi will voice ‘Rocky’ in the sequel to Aardman hit Chicken Run (2000), Netflix has released. Mel Gibson voiced the character in the original film.
Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget will also feature Thandiwe Newton as Ginger, replacing Julia Sawalha, but original players Imelda Stauton, Jane Horrocks, and Lynn Ferguson are returning to the farm yard.
Bella Ramsey (“The Last of Us”), Josie Sedgwick-Davies, David Bradley, Daniel Mays and Romesh Ranganathan are also onboard to lend their lungs to characters.
Plot details haven’t been released.
Directed by Sam Fell, Dawn of the Nugget airs November 10 on Netflix.
