Dakota Fanning will headline director Janusz Kaminski’s upcoming thriller “The Postcard Killings”.

Marklund and Andrew Stern will adapt the script based on James Patterson and Liza Marklund’s book “The Postcard Killers”.

Good Films produces and finances the thriller about Jacob, a New York detective, who investigates the murder of his newly married daughter and discovers a trail of similar deaths across Europe.

In each case the killing is accompanied by a postcard sent to a local reporter. Things become even more intense when Jacob meets a young reporter who receives the next postcard. – via Screen Daily.

 

 

Elizabeth Debicki is in negotiations to join David Oyelowo and Gugu Mbatha-Raw in “God Particle”, Paramount’s sci-fi pic from producer J.J. Abrams.

Julius Onah is directing.

Set in the near future, the film “centers on a team of astronauts who make a terrifying discovery that challenges everything they know about the fabric of reality, as they desperately fight for survival” (via Variety).

Debicki would play one of the astronauts.

“God Particle” will open on February 24, 2017.

 

 

Melissa Benoist, Khandi Alexander and Jake Picking have joined Mark Wahlberg, John Goodman, J.K. Simmons, Michelle Monaghan, Kevin Bacon, Michael Beach, Jimmy O. Yang, Vincent Curatola, Alex Wolff, James Colby, Themo Melikidze, Rachel Brosnahan and Christopher O’Shea in Boston Marathon Bombing film “Patriots Day”.

The film has a script by Matt Charman based on the account of former Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis. Peter Berg is directing.

The movie will open on December 21, 2016.

 

 

Elise Neal is the latest to join “Wolverine 3”.

Hugh Jackman, Stephen Merchant, Eriq Lasalle and Boyd Holbrook are also in the cast.

James Mangold is directing from David James Kelly’s screenplay.

 

 

Shirley MacLaine and Matthew Broderick will star in Paramount Television’s dramedy “Bettyville.”

The series adapts journalist George Hodgman’s memoir and “centers on a young George’s (Broderick) relocation to his Midwestern hometown to care for his elderly mother (MacLaine)” (via Variety).

John Hoffman serve as showrunner and exec producer, with Hodgman and Archer Gray’s Anne Carey and Amy Nauiokas also attached to exec produce.

 

 

Stacy Keach has been cast in “Ray Donovan” Season 4.

According to Variety, Keach will appear in two episodes as Marty Minor, a retired fixer from Ray’s (Liev Schreiber) past.

Season 4 of the show premieres on June 26 at 9PM.

 

 

John Malkovich is joining Josh Hartnett, Bérénice Marlohe, Keir Dullea, John Rhys-Davies and Charlotte Rampling in the cast of Lech Majewski’s fantasy drama “Valley of the Gods”.

The story features the richest man on earth, a Navajo legend and a writer (Hartnett), who possesses an unbridled imagination and has the ability to alter reality. It involves three narratives about characters who attempt to escape the drama that follows when supernatural visions clash with reality – via Variety.

Lech Majewski is directing with production set to begin May 18 in Poland, Italy and Utah.
